This team runs large scale document reviews across the country for large data cases using the most cutting-edge analytical tools, such as artificial intelligence. We offer eDiscovery hosting solutions through Ipro and Relativity.  We also conduct internal investigations for companies suffering from executive malfeasance and even develop software to support large scale litigation. We have offices in Orange County, Beaverton, OR, and Seattle, WA.  This is a remote position.

Sift is part of a family of companies that provides technical and support services to fortune 500 companies throughout the world. The group of companies was founded in the mid-90s and now consists of 17 different ventures, employing approximately 500 people. This is a dynamic workplace with companies ranging from rural internet service providers, to renowned testing labs, and from paramedic training to propagation of worldwide technology standards, such as USB and HDMI.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an eDiscovery Specialist able to learn and to thrive within a dynamic and fast paced environment. In this role the eDiscovery Specialist will be required to adapt to shifting, and at times competing, priorities throughout the day with the direction and mentorship of our senior eDiscovery Specialists. At Sift, no job is too-big or too-small and we often support each other by performing tasks outside of our traditional job responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support senior eDiscovery Specialists in the administration and management of the ESI workflow for our clients: from handling the collection and ingestion of ESI into our data processing platform all the way imaging and production after end-user review.
    • Work with client law firms and their clients to obtain data for ingestion, including through the use of FTP, Dropbox, etc., that can be ingested and processed while maintaining chain of custody.
    • Provide end-user training to customers that utilize our eDiscovery review platforms.
    • Assist clients with the creation and application of complex searches and the use of analytical tools, such as email threading and near-text deduplication.
    • Create productions and exports for delivery to clients.
    • Perform quality control at all stages of the eDiscovery workflow, including insuring accuracy and accessibility of processed data and running imaging and productions in formats required by clients.
  • Track and manage eDiscovery requests by client law firms to completion.
  • Update and follow workflow processes and protocols to maintain standardized service.
  • Assist clients with their use of the eDiscovery tools and making sure they can access the information and find what they are looking for.

  • Requires 1-3 years of professional experience in litigation support and at least 1 year of experience on the administrative side of eDiscovery tools, such as Ipro, Relativity, Disco, Everlaw, etc.
  • Ipro or Relativity Administrator experience a plus, but not required. Willing to become certified as an Ipro Enterprise Administrator or Relativity administrator.
  • Working knowledge of the EDRM lifecycle and the litigation workflow.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially written, with the ability to clearly present technical information to non-technical clients and users.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard workflows and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and to communicate with team when assistance is needed to meet client deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills, including in the use of FTP, Sharefile, Dropbox, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Other technical skills that are strongly preferred include experience in SQL and the use of machine learning in the eDiscovery process, including TAR and CAL.
  • Experience with end-to-end litigation support a plus.
