As founder of K L McKinney, she provides more than 30 years of legal computer services and management expertise to clients. Her expertise covers areas such as electronic discovery, legal information technology, staffing, training, database management systems, and special applications used for large-scale litigation. During her 18 years as practice and litigation support manager for a top tier Texas based international law firm, she managed Litigation Support, Help Desk Support, computer training, graphics, and special application development for legal matters. She led that firm to be one of the first to implement forensic collections and electronic discovery technology in the nation. She was responsible for an internal operation of more than 300 coders and reviewers who populated databases to generate revenue of more than $3 million per year. She also managed the law firm’s graphics department to support numerous trial, publishing and marketing endeavors. Khrys has shared her insights as a faculty member of the SOFT BANK Institute Computer Training & Support Conference, Legal Tech, and provider conferences. She founded and has held numerous executive posts in legal technology professional organizations, both locally and internationally. Most recently she has assembled an Oil & Gas Information Governance Forum (O&GIG) for professionals from oil & gas legal operations and technology organizations.
