Job Description

Position Summary: A HaystackID Project Manager is a critical member of the project team and is responsible for management of cases by driving work through various operational departments to meet litigation project requests, including: coordination with other departments, project tracking, time-based projections/forecasts, volume metrics, invoicing, culling, hosting, production, and performing quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of work product before it is released to clients. The Project Manager is a primary communications channel to the client and works closely with Senior Consultants, Project Analysts, and Operations staff. Our Project Managers are responsible for developing project and client workflow standards, providing a consultative approach to problem solving, and providing solutions with a focus on defensibility, efficiency, accuracy, repeatability, and promoting the use of innovate technology to exceed client expectations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manages client expectations throughout the life of a project.
  • Works closely with client to set up projects, job turnaround estimates, and job specifications.
  • Oversees projects from initial set-up to delivery of the finished product, with a focus on client relations and communication.
  • Works closely within the project team and coordinates across departments to ensure proper allocation of resources based on deadlines and priorities.
  • Continuously monitors multiple projects and jobs within each department to ensure deadlines are met and ensures jobs are completed according to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Maintains accurate and current records of all aspects of a project related to job tracking, specifications, and chain of custody related documents.
  • Communicates frequently with client to resolve issues and provide status updates according to clients’ needs.
  • Analyzes client search terms, search term formatting, and within Relativity: performs searches, creates layouts/view, provides support for review, compiles production sets, implements event handlers, runs scripts, creates batch, and provides general litigation support.
  • Analyzes client, third party, or production data for potential issues and provides solutions when problems are identified.
  • Reporting and analysis of exceptions and other issues encountered during data processing.
  • Provide final quality control check on client deliverables.
  • Perform project administrative tasks including analyzing project audits, maintaining billing numbers, and validating month-end project billable services.
  • Providing platform training sessions to clients and investigate or troubleshooting reports of connectivity problems or system performance issues.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Understands of corporate law department operations, e-discovery processes tools/systems, information governance, and document retention in the context of e-discovery.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms.
  • Ability to provide strategy and operations design and implementation services.
  • Structured and precise with a results-oriented approach to business.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

3+ years of Discovery/Discovery Consulting experience.
2+ years’ experience working within Relativity including RDC.
Strong technical experience in the Discovery process, life cycle, and issue/exception handling
Understanding of ESI, including various email platforms, structured data, problematic data sets, mobile data, data repositories, etc
Proficient in Relativity workspace set-up including, but not limited to, analytics, user set- up and group permissions, coding layouts, running complex keyword and dtSearch queries, and workflow customization such as indexing, set-up of views, field/choices, persistent highlighting sets, etc.
Relativity Certifications (Relativity Expert, RCA, Relativity Analytics Specialist, or Relativity Project Management Specialist)
Experience with processing software (Relativity, LAW, Nuix, etc)
Communicate effectively to both internal and external clients.
Ability to balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Work beyond regular business hours will be required.
